T hink about this… I say the best way to get to Europe is through the “gateway” of Istanbul, a city in both Europe and Asia.
I stanbul is a magical marriage of ancient culture and modern style, spectacular cuisine and the bounty of many seas which provide an extraordinary array of fish species and coastal resort areas.
My decision was first influenced by a conversation with a friend at the Cannes film festival last year. The well-travelled film critic bon vivant Phillip Bergson insisted that I change my return flight from France to San Francisco to go through Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. I did so and must say, the route, especially the opportunity to see the remarkable Business Class Lounge, was a revelation.
So this winter I decided to further explore the Turkish Airline experience and booked a flight to Berlin via Istanbul.
A Turkish Airlines Flight is like A Bed & B’fast In the Air, plus Cuisine that reaches for the Stars (Michelin that is)
Turkish Airlines has recently added direct flights to Istanbul from San Francisco and their business service is garnering praise and awards including Skytrax’s Best Airline in Europe and the World’s Best Business Class Lounge.
Once you step foot into the plane you enter into another world.
F rom the moment you board the aircraft in San Francisco, you realize you have entered another world… a special place that will foretell a cultural adventure.
Turkish Air is setting a high bar for service, style and elegance, all with a flair.
